The Almonry Kitchen Launches First ‘Sunday Service’

A Traditional Sunday Lunch at Ely Cathedral

The Almonry Kitchen at Ely Cathedral is delighted to announce the launch of its first-ever Sunday Service – Sunday Lunch @ The Almonry Kitchen pop-up, a celebration of the great British Sunday roast served in one of Ely’s most historic and atmospheric settings.

On Sunday, 30th November, guests are invited to enjoy a traditional roast lunch menu in The Almonry’s beautifully restored, candlelit undercroft which is a space that blends centuries-old heritage with warm, contemporary hospitality.

The bespoke Sunday Service menu will showcase seasonal starters, succulent roast meats with all the trimmings, and home made desserts, each thoughtfully crafted by The Almonry Kitchen’s talented team, known for their dedication to quality and flavour.

Set beneath the 13th-century vaulted stone ceilings of Ely Cathedral’s undercroft, this exclusive dining experience offers the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable Sunday lunch with family and friends.

Tiago, General Manager of The Almonry Kitchen, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce The Sunday Service to our newly renovated café. It’s our way of honouring the classic Sunday roast with a comforting, communal meal that brings people together to enjoy great food and conversation in a truly special and historic place.”

Spaces for this unique event are limited, and reservations are strongly recommended.
